Default jeep gives bumpy ride on flat road ?!?

Gents, as title suggests, my 10A has been doing this occasionally since new. So it did it in completely stock form with KM2s, and it does it now with leveling kit and Duratracs.

Seems to come from rear end and feels as if the tires were out of round. Like old bias ply tires did after being parked for a while. does it occasionally and always at slow speeds.

Anybody knows what could be the culprit. ???

Have you taken it in to get an opinion from a technician? The reason I ask is because on line we are really just guessing what the problem.

When does it happen? when you first start out? After driving so many miles? When braking? When accelerating?

Going to the dealer thursday with a grocery list of stuff to check and do. Just fishing to find out if this is a known problem and defective component. I like to at least have an idea on a problem before heading to the dealer and get screwed.

It does it from cold, all the way to destination in stop and go traffic and under 20 mph on the highway during traffic also. Not always, but often. Accelerating slowly, steady throttle or off throttle, no difference. Even coasting in neutral, it will do it.

I was expecting something like..... That symptom is a bent axle, bad axles, cv joint, warped brake disc..... and it is a very common problem on wranglers, blah blah blah.... But I searched and couldn't find anything.

Thanks anyway, hopefully the dealer will find something.

Just wondering...did this start after the wheel spacer install? If so were the rotor retainer clips removed or did the spacers come with countersunk holes to accommodate the clips if left on? Wheels can wobble because of this.

Does it go away? My jeep does this sometimes when it's been parked out in the cold for a while. The tires get flat spots from sitting so long and the cold prevents the rubber from flexing as they should.

I rule out the spacers, since it did it before they were installed. I run 30psi. Rotating the tires haven't changed anything. It does seem to either go away, or I end up getting used to it. I also thought about the tires flat spotting after being parked for awhile, but this shouldn't happen on radial tires.

We'll see, going to the dealer tomorrow. Might end up getting them road force balanced.

A broken rear shock mount would let a spring oscillate with the slightest road irregularity. It would be more noticable at low speeds.
