Default rear/ back up light suggestions.

Looking to improve my back up lights. The current ones suck. Suggestions for an easy add on like some led lights or something easy to hook up? Thanks.

I've got some similar to these mounted on mine. Extremely bright and work great, I mounted them to the crossmember with hose clamps... Used a relay and tapped the factory wire.

These are a great upgrade over stock.

Thanks for the info everyone. Now need help in hooking them up. Anyone know what wires tie into the reverse lights that I can hook these to the wires? Or color of wires etc. Or a wiring schematic would be awesome. Thanks

I first replaced with LED bulbs as posted and they're brighter then stock for sure BUT they won't light up a path for you .... So I wired in a 10" led bar .... Now that's doing the job

I added a 6.5" lifetime led light bar to my aftermarket bumper/carrier. Since the 3rd brake light location was moved I welded a plate to the top and made the bar look factory.

Nice. I have 2 of the above led light from the second post. Might only need one. But want to tie into the existing wires and figure good place to mount so out of site. Will keep everyone postrd, just gotta figure out the wire colors to splice into.

Wired in two diffused rigid srm's to the reverse circuit. Back up lights wire is white with a gray line in the tail light wiring harness.

I don't have the factory bumper on any more and I was wanting to add some more light towards the rear of the vehicle. I had some cheap little lights laying around that I had planned on using for rock lights on my old YJ. They fit right into the frame rails so I wired them up to a separate switch so I can turn them on when I want or need light to the rear.

No they aren't as bright as LED's but I had them on hand and they are bright enough for me to see what's behind me. And they are tucked into the frame rails where they won't hit rocks or get damaged.
