I changed my lower control arms last night and I never expected to have any effects on the way the jeep rides but the first decent bump I hit (rr tracks) my gf and I both noticed that the jeep rides a lot better (did I mention it's a lot better?) now I am in no way complaining but I'm curious why they made a difference, any ideas?

Edit: Just noticed my typo in the title, should have said lower

If you increased the caster when you installed the arms it would give your steering a much firmer feel, tracking better, and resisting bump steer. As far as ride quality it does not do anything.

that's what I thought, but I swear it takes bumps better. I think maybe something was in a bind before.

I took it in for an alignment this morning because it was off before so I knew it would be way off after the new control arms, and now that the caster was adjusted properly the steering and tracking are much better, but I also noticed that it rubs at full lock and didn't do that before.

Some arms are bent for tire clearance like factory arms, some are bent for ground clearance like rock Krawler arms.

I like the synergy arms best cause they are bent for both types of clearance.

just factory length RK adjustable arms. with the ability to adjust caster it made a lot of difference in the jeep, best thing I have done to it in a while.

Yeah by increasing your caster after lifting will make it drive better and feel a little more stable however it will have no effect on how it handles bumps. Did you happen to get a spec sheet after your alignment? What's your caster at now?
