Of course, it needs to get fixed..but if it's not too bad and the coolant level is kept topped off you'd be ok for a while. Its a simple DIY job, at least a couple excellent YouTube videos on it...go for it!

Every write-ups/video I saw said to drain radiator. You don't need to. Place a catch pan on a tarp below the water pump. Loosen the bottom two bolts, but do not remove. Remove all other bolts. Pry top of pump forward to drain fluid into catch pan. You'll get a cup or two. When draining stops pull pump and install new one. Replace fluid lost with fresh Mopar HOAT antifreeze from Chrysler (no universal stuff, no OAT!!!). Rest of steps from online references should be fine.

I would do it myself but I dont think the landlord is going to like me draining radiator fluid all over the parking garage below.

She had a cow when I did my suspension.

I guess I'll buy some HOAT and take it to my mechanic for now.

If she'll allow changing oil she should allow this. But, yes, I know most contracts prohibit vehicle maintenance. If you do have around 100K miles on this and haven't drained and flushed the cooling system, now might be a good time to do it. When I had to replace my pump it was about 10K miles after draining and flushing, which is why I didn't want to lose all of that HOAT coolant (cheap it ain't).
