BFG KM2 vs Nitto Trail Grapplers... Please HELP?!?!
I am due for a new set of rubbers on my rig. I have ran many kinds of m/ts but am ready to try something new. I have narrowed it down to the BFG KM2s and the Nitto Trail Grapplers. Curious what others experience is with the two tires so maybe I can choose a set.
Also, I currently run 315/70-17 (35"x12.5") Goodyear DuraTracs. I have AEV 17x8.5 Savegre Wheels (5.2" backspacing) with 1.5" wheel spacers. Can anyone offer their expertise in whether or not I can run 37x12.5s without too many headaches off the get go. I have 2.5 inches of lift, narrow front bumper, flat fenders and stock drive train (d30 and d44) minus Yukon 4.56s w/ ARB lockers. I use my jeep both on the trail and highway. Eventually I want to install a 3.5" RK long arm suspension.
Thanks!

With 37's you are going to break parts if you wheel and have not built your rig for it. I would beef up things and run 35's or have a slush fund sitting around for when something breaks. There is a great recent thread about 37's on stock components --> https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...onents-322154/
I am in the middle of building my rig for 37's... axles, lift, drive shafts, wheels, hydraulic assist, controls arms, steering, ouch.

We had KM2's. The grip is great but the side walls don't do to good on rocks. Light tire with a thin side wall. The Nitto's don't grip as well as the KM2's, are very heavy but got a thick side wall that do really good on the rocks. 1 year, 12000 miles and no cuts.
Km2's does grip good on the rock and have good tire wear but the side walls are weak and it chunks as well. Also the km2's run small so a 35 measures 33.5". The nittos run true to their size, tuff side walls, good tire wear, and balance really good. The only thing is that thery are heavy. I ran the bfg's, my friends run the nitto trail grappler, I now run the nitto mud grappler
31.5 lol but i like them 40,000 miles and still going strong
i had 35" km 2 on my truck and they prematurely wore out i feel
the nitto tg are heavy though

I run the KM2's on my JKUR and currently have right at 60k miles and about 40-50% tread left. I do the 5 tire rotation though.

I have ran Toyo M/Ts in the past and I liked them. (Not on my jeep tho). I thought something with a little more side tread would be good, but I'm not opposed to trying them out on the JK. I take it you run them and have had good experience with them?
