Default Heater Core Leaks!!!

Hello All,

I'm new to forums, as in I've never posted one before, and need some help. I'm sure there are other "heater core" questions and posts but I just needed some quick advice... I have redish antifreeze leaking on the passenger side floor boards, a slight overheating issue and very low coolant levels. I was recently quoted 1,100 to replace the heater core, refill coolant (HOAT) and inspect the evap etc., is this high, low or on par in regards to cost?
Thanks,

landmancrj

Man... I thought I replied to this. Heater core replacement is a major job. The entire dash has to come out. That means pulling the steering column, the shifter console, the battery and battery box. Then out comes the dash.

$1100 might not be that unreasonable considering the amount of labor involved.
