Default 08 Lacks Power up a Steady Grade

My 08 Sahara has a K&N CAI, 35" tires after market Muffler and is an Automatic. I have a Flashpaq and have now put the 91 Performance tune in it..better that Stock, better than the Tow tune. Seems like it should have more Power.

It still has trouble going up a gradual uphill road. It wants to downshift and search for a gears. I can shut off the esp button and still no difference. I end up dropping into 2nd and taching 3.5 to 4 rpm.

It runs Good on flatland and idles perfect . Any Ideas that may Help ?

Thanks !

Not true. It's all in the gearing. The 3.6 has a better geared 5spd auto trans.. A 3.8 needs 4.10 gears just to match the 3.6 with 3.21 gears. So a 3.8 will need 4.88 just to match a 3.6 with 4.10.

What size tires. ?? I have 5.38 with 37s and auto. Runs 2100rpm at 60mpg. Right in the sweet spot and with that I still get 17mpg average hwy.
