Default New Tires - help

Just came across some 285/65/20 bf Goodrich all terrain KO2. They go for 360 per tire where i live... Currently have Pirelli scorpion 275/55/20 due to a lot of driving. 30k on my 15 month old 2015 jku. This is my DD obviously. The guy wants 300 for the set. Half thread left... Steal??

$360 for that size? My Toyo 35" M/T's were $350. Where do you live?

When you buy used tires you are buying someone else's headache. Did they previous owner maintain a strict tire rotation? Are the tires wearing evenly? If it were me and spending that much on 50% tread tires I would buy new.

thats true. i will find out when i look at them. but they are 360ish a tire and he only wants 300 for all 4. i figure why not. My little 275/55/20s street tires are not the look i want for my jku. they are basically stock size with bigger wheel. Planned on doing spacer lift soon so they will look worse lol

Snap I missed your tire size , regardless save yourself the headache and save up for new tires.

Yes but you will also incur more road noise and with the miles you put on your Jeep it may get annoying.

It's worth $300 if the tires aren't worn funky and don't have any obvious defects. You won't have as many issues with broken belts as you might with a larger tire and less wheel.

I was in your shoes, 36k in a year, and I went with mud tires. The bfg ko2 is a sensible choice for your area and they don't have a ton of noise. They'll last a good while too if they weren't on a heavy truck.
