Rear Track Bar Relo Brkt
I have a RK 1.5 Stock Mod kit on my floor waiting for Bilsteins to show up so I can install the lift. However, I just realized the rear T/B relo brkt is a weld on bracket. I am a little hesitant to permanently weld on a brkt as it seems like a significant commitment to the lift. Frankly, I'm surprised a 1.5" coil lift (should get about 2" of true lift) requires rear T/B recentering. My questions are...
1) Will this really be needed? Other 1.5/2" spacer lifts don't include T/B relo brackets.
2) Should I lift it first then see if its really needed instead of welding it on out of the gate?
3) Weld on vs Bolt on brackets? Should I consider a bolt on bracket instead? Adjustable T/B seems expensive and unnecessary.
4) I see this brkt used on taller lifts also....is there any chance the bracket will over correct and create a dynamics issue?

I would say at that height it's not required. I had the teraflex 1.5" spring kit and had no issues without a tb bracket. I have the RK xfactor now with the tb bracket welded on and also don't think you should be concerned it's too permanent. A cutting wheel or similar could remove the bracket if needed.
Rock krawler says that the bracket is needed for added strength just as much as relocating. I noticed that at some point they switched to a bolt on bracket. I would have got that one instead but I found that out the day after I welded mine on. Maybe see if they will give you a deal on the new bracket?
So I am leaning towards installing the kit without the bracket to start, to see how far off the rear axle is off center. The kit came with a front adjustable T/B so the difference between front and rear won't be quite so significant.
Does that make sense? Shouldn't be any risk there right?

What keeper said. Unless you have clearance issues with the track bar hitting something above there should not be an issue running the raised track bar bracket even on a non lifted jeep. Ideally you want the track bar to be as level and as as you can. for better handling and less axle shift when articulating.
