Default Is my front drive shaft on its way out?

Hello!
3.5 in RC lift for about 5 months now haven't done any off roading this winter..I just added front and rear steel bumpers..for the last couple of days I've been noticing a low rumble and vibrations up front when in 1st and 2nd gears. I noticed some grease on my front driveshaft. Is it on its way out? Thanks!

Looks like it will be soon. It will start to fling grease next. At 3.5" of lift , it was only a matter of time.

Thanks. I'll take it into the shop and see how much it's going to run me.

You could buy the teraflex rezeppa hi angle cv joint for $140 and put it on itself in an hour. Plus you won't have to sweat the angle going forward.

agree!!! A shop will charge that much in just labor if ur lucky and then a price of DS!! So maybe $500-600 at a shop! If needed u can remove front DS and still be able to drive ur Jeep just w/o 4wd. Aftermarket shafts are $400-500 if ur looking in that direction.

I think you have a little while before it completely goes as long as you don't flex out. This is what you don't want to do down the line, oh and i did this to 2 oem DS before getting an Adams...

Whoa. That looks insane, dude.

I went the Adams 1350 route for my rig (front & rear). Really awesome upgrade.

Go with the Tera Flex high angle Rzeppa joint. Mine was doing the same thing (4.5" lift on 37's) until I put the Rzeppa joint on. Been working flawless ever since.

Is there a bunch of grease slung on the undercarriage above the joint? Looks to me like the boot is still good, and a little excess grease was squeezed out because of the steeper angles. Many people here have driven for years with joints that looked like that. (the pic in post 1, not post 6...)

Before throwing a bunch of money at it, remove that shaft and go for a drive. Then let us know if the vibes and rumble went away.

Would there be a clicking sound when this occurs to the driveshaft? I looked underneath today and noticed the same problem. My 08 has a 3.5" teraflex lift
