Default Clear coat bumpers as opposed to paint or powdercoat?

Looking to get a VKS Prerunner package and if the welds look as good in person as they do in the pictures I would just love to just clear coat!
Any thoughts?

Clearing the bumpers has been done and it looks awesome. You genuinely get to appreciate the art and craftsmanship that went into creating your bumper. You'll see the heat and discoloration but it looks awesome. I knew I should have saved the pictures of it.

I've got the VKS prerunner sliders. Yeah, welds are really nice. Up there with my Genright aluminum stuff that I've left bare that only needs a little polish from time to time to keep them looking good.

I powdercoated the VKS but was debating for awhile if I should just clear them....

If you clear them can you tell when you need to touch up some trail damage before it rusts?
