Default Spline count

Question, I have a 07 Rubi that I recently bent rear passenger axle shaft. I know that it's a Dana 44 and more than likely 32 spline but I have heard that a few selected early Rubis in 07came with 35 spline shafts. It has the tow pkg. is there anyway to identify this without pulling the shaft?

I had not heard some early Rubi's had a different spline count on the rear axle.

The dealer can look for the shafts you need going by your VIN. If it's the same as what a 2008 Rubi takes, then you have 32 spline shafts.

Are you sure your not confused between the axle itself? I know a few unlucky 07's had Dana 35 rear ends...

Haha just thought I'd throw that out there

Rear axle housings, not the shafts.

Some early 07 non-rubi's came a Dana 35 rear 'axle'. But most non-rubi's had the typical dana 44 with 30spline shafts, and all rubi's had a dana 44 with 32spline shafts. At least that is my understanding of it...

Yeah since it's a Rubi it definitely has a 44..I would hope. Just saw the number 35 and went to the craziest possibility
