Default TF 2.5 w/ front springs

Does anyone have this kit (#1251000). Im asking because I plan on keep stock wheels and tires until the ones I have run out and this is suppose to be a 2.5" lift (springs front/pucks rear). From what I heard this kit come with springs for a 3" kit and without the use of a bumper/winch the front will sit higher than the rear. When I ordered I was not informed that is what this kit is for and the Teraflex catalog is quite vague.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I have this kit, and everything you said is true.

ColinW - I guess you never had a chance to see if there was any rubbing with the stock wheels and the rear relocation bracket installed?

Well considering that I had the stock wheels without the rear trackbar bracket installed and no rubbing issues (not flexed, however) , I can definately tell you for sure that if you add on the rear trackbar bracket that you won't have any problems with the stock wheels when just riding on the street, however, on the trail may be a different story, although that bracket does give you some more room, but I don't know exactly how much with consideration to using the stock wheels and tires.

ColinW - OK, thanks. I kinda thought it would be OK on the street, but I’m thinking about what it will do out on the trails. There may only be one way to find out…

i just got this kit with the front springs and was wondering if i need a spring compressor to install? i saw wol's install photos and he did not use a compressor when reinstalling the factory springs, but the new springs are longer. does anyone know if they will just slip right in like the stock springs?

U will probably need the spring compressor unless you remove the front trackbar. Check out this post from another forum where a guy dod a write up on the installation
