Default Help with Daystar or Pro Comp 1.75" Lift?

I bought the Daystar 1.75" lift for my Rubi. I didn't want much of a lift, just enough to clear some 33's. I thought the 1.75" lift would look perfect with this size tire. In looking at the kit, it seems something isn't right though. The BOM (Bill of Materials) is correct, but the instructions state to install a sway bar drop bracket on the rear sway bar, and, to install some extended bump stops in the rear. The BOM only states that there are drop brackets in the kit, which there are, but there are no extened bump stops in the BOM or the box.

I'm confused because most other similar types of kits don't drop the sway bar, but do add extended bump stops.....? Extended bump stops make more sense to me rather than dropping the rear sway bar.

The front part of the kit seems correct. 1.75" spring spacers and extended bump stops.

I've seen the Pro-Comp 1.75" kit and it's exactly the same.

I'm wondering if these so called drop brackets are actually extended bump stops? Although they don't look to be. I'll attach a pic of the kit. The 2 rectangular brackets in the bag are the drop brackets.

Can someone with a lot of lift experience chime in please.

Thanks

Those black poly things other than the spring spacers are your extended bump stops. You should not need sway bar extensions for that size of lift, the swaybar should rotate down a small amount to compensate for the 1.75" lift.

Woolf, I understand what the "front" bump stops are, that is pretty obvious.

If you read the last sentence in my post (quote: The 2 rectangular brackets in the bag are the drop brackets.), that is what I'm asking about.....?

After looking at the similar "Full Traction" 2" kit, I believe those 2 rectangular brackets are actually the rear bump stop extension, NOT rear sway bar drop brackets.

Thanks~

2x2wranglerX,

My Rubi would be doing a wheelie if I just installed the front! My Rubicon only sits .250" lower in the front then the rear. I know the Sahara's and X's have a weird raked stance, but the Rubicons sit much more level from the factory.

I measured mine twice just to verify. Only .250" lower in the front.

Thanks

I agree, my Rubicon Unlimited didn't seem to have a rake at all but I have noticed that X's and Sahara's have one.

I should of just bought 2 Rubi Front higher Rated Springs for my "X" to level it out. I was a little over 2" lower in the front and it took (2) 3/4" spacer's to get right.

Stock Rubi does look level compared to my"X" before my front lift.

Before my front lift bad rake..

although I installed the FT 2", the picture of the parts still in the bag look exactly like my rear bump stop extension brackets, there will be holes on opposite ends that match up with existing holes on the flat location on top of the rear axle where they will mount.
