Default In Cab winch control warm VR 10

I’ve got a warm VR10 winch
i also have a switch from 12v guy that has a in/out toggle as well a cutoff switch. INstead of wirinh the switch into the solinoid pack directly, could I take an external controller for the vr10, cut the hand trigger off and tie the wires into the switch. I would connect then hand controller end into the connection on the side of then winch, eliminating the need to drill into the solinoid.

the pin out is 5 wire-I assume there’s a hot, an in, an out and 2 grounds?

does anyone have the pinout for the controller? Thanks, steve

Yes you could cut the trigger off the controller or you could tap the wires in the harness and use the wire provided with your switch. Take the control pack cover off and you should be able to get to the control pack. Looks like 8 screws and you can take the whole thing apart.

Default Exactly!

Hey Dirtman-that’s exactly what I want to do. I’m a little confused on the pin-out/wires. There are 5 pins on the controller. I assume in not particular order:

in
out
Hot
two grounds(???)

I would just tap into it at the control pack. My VR winch is already set up for multiple control points and you only need 3 wires to control it.
