Default Hard Rock Style Hood

Since installing the Chev LT engine I now run real tight clearances between the throttle body intake tube and the hood and also want the air clearance under there for the pending summer underhood temps. The clearance I really require is right behind the radiator x-bar at the top so the question is - does a Hard Rock style hood have more clearance there? which of course reduces the over the hood visibility, but I am short anyway so go by feel or guide in tight spots. Also any recommendations on a hood as the Jeep is not stock so don't need a Mopar unit or metal one for that matter. Or am I better off the cut and modify my stock hood?
Thanks in advance for any advice

My buddy has an AEV jeep, and here is the underside of his hood. I am not positive, but I would think that the 10th anniversary and the Hard Rock hoods, and other similar hoods have some structural supports that will eat up the space you're wanting. Not sure what the TOTL hood looks like from underneath but I'm sure there are pics out there. I'm going to guess that you're not going to get the clearance you're looking for in the right area.

Although these hoods are a little different, I think the bumps are very similar in regard to position and size.

Thanks for that. I will definitely look into that.
