AEV Front Skid Plate Hi-Lift Jack Holes
I have a 2013 MOAB with the factory AEV front bumper and Jeep OEM front skid plate. The Jeep version of the skid plate does not have the cut-outs for the Hi-Lift Jack to be used on the front bumper. Anyone with an AEV Front Skid Plate who can do some measuring on exactly where the cut-outs are at, and what size they are. Thanks
Hello Bob, just a thought, have you used the contact AEV form on their website to ask for info. I have used it in the past & they are responsive.. They might have dimensions you seek.
Checking with AEV is a good idea.
I brought up a picture on the web site, and I now have a better idea where the holes are. The hole size looks to be between 2" and 2-1/2" square.

I can't say I have experience with either, but going just by location brings up the question, does the AEV skid plate add any structural integrity due to the jack points? I'm guessing not since the pressure is really going to the bumper/frame, but I that is what pops in my head not having looked at these.
resharp01 The AEV Front Bumper takes the load. The holes in the AEV Front Skid Plate lets you get the jack under the bumper properly, and it also helps to keep the jack from moving sideways as one side of the vehicle goes up. The AEV Rear Bumper has Tabs to keep the jack from moving side ways. When the AEV Front Bumper and AEV Front Skid Plate are installed as a system the Hi-Lift Jack will go under the bumper properly and the holes in the skid plate will perform the same function as the Rear Bumper Tabs. I would guess that the Jeep Desk Jockey who put the MOAB Package together did not have a clue about the AEV Skid Plate being required to use a Hi-Lift Jack properly under the bumper.
