Default 2012 jk hub assembly

Hi all new here and first post.

I am in the process of replacing my drivers side front hub assembly. I was able to remove 2 of the 3 Hub bolts but the 3rd snapped... My question is there only threads in the hub or are there threads is the knuckle. Will I have to drill that bolt out?

thanks,

jeff

Only threads in the unit bearing itself, nothing in the knuckle.

If you were that far you should have been able to pull the hub off. Just throw it away and buy new bolts.

+1 on buying new bolts! Also, I would suggest a more "premium" 12 point socket for these... I have found that my cheaper sockets are more likely to mess up the head of these bolts; so I bought a Snap-On version and it did a great job when I torqued these bolts to spec. Also, make sure to use some thread locker blue on these bad boys.

HI all thanks, I was able to get it off with a lot of persuasion and ordered new bolts.
