Jk psc hydro assist kit w custom hoses and fittings
What’s going on guys, hope all is well, I would most definitely appreciate some pointers and/or advice on my most recent investment for my 2010 JKU Sport. I’ve pretty much rebuilt my 4” lift from scratch, doing whatever I could to get rid of my death wobble and bump steer. Death wobble is gone, but bump steer is still heavily present, also noticed slack in my steering wheel and gear box. Decided to invest in a hydro assist steer er kit. I wanted run my purchase by some experts to make sure I got everything I absolutely needed and nothing extra. Appreciate the help in advance!!
It kinda looks like you've ordered everything already. Never quite understand why people don't ask BEFORE they order rather than after. Is there a reason you didn't just order everything from PSC directly? They should have had everything you needed as one-stop shopping.
It's a little hard to tell what you purchased in that first snapshot. Those look like eBay transactions. This appears to be a closer-up picture of the hose with fittings you bought -
Any reason you didn't purchase hose by the foot that you cut to length and then some quality field-serviceable fittings (I see you do have some bulk hose below that which I presume is for the cooler)? Every install is a little different, and it's nice to be able to have exact length hose for your specific install as well as being able to determine the best fitting angles on each end of the hose (straight, 90°, or 45°) for your install. I used to have 90° fittings and replaced all my hose with 45° fittings at the ram which was much better for me.
Neville has the cream of the crop system there. I would love to have a full system, but I manage to hobble by with my Red Neck Ram using the factory steering pump, factory reservoir, and no anti-splash/.pressure release valve. I'm sure all that adds a nice improvement but I always question if really necessary for 37" and under.

I went with the PSC Big Bore XD2 steering assist and never looked back.
Sometimes makes me forget I’m running big-ass 40” Treps - kinda .....
3 things…
1) I’m angry you got the reservoir to fit with the stock air box. I tried and tried and I couldn’t get mine to fit. It just wasn’t gonna happen. I had to order a new air intake with a cone filter that gives me more real estate there.
2) I like where you mounted your anti splash valve. I may have to copy that.
3) From the looks in the pic, your ram is pointing up instead of being parallel to your tie rod. If it is indeed pointing up, this is going to give your tie rod ends a shorter life since the ram will rotate your tie rod and always push your rod ends at their limit when you turn. If you have the clearance to do so, you may want to raise the axle side of your ram.
