Default Best $$ spent on Performance

I have read quite a bit on this subject and it appears that most have gone to 5.13 gears and possibly a Hypertech Max. Can anyone offer better suggestions or is this the route to go. I have a 4" Lift and 35" KM2's on Pro Comp 8190's. I'm still in the beginning stages and I want to spend the money but I don't like waisting my $$, looking for some advice?

I'd add skids if you can and rocker guards. If you don't mind the banging around then I guess 5.13 are a close second. If you plan to go out on the jeep then think recovery also, winch and the gear along with CB and fire ext. I assume you don't have these yet.

I there a limit? 2k, 3k or 4k? knowing this could help a little. I went with a new front bumper and winch first, Larger tires and steel rims 2nd, waiting on the sliders (in the mail), and now I'm getting the little trail ready items.

When I start back up with buying I'll get the covers and skids and will upgrade from 33 to 35" tires. I'm still not convinced to do the bigger gears until I'm ready to get a front locker.
When I get to unnecessary stuff I'll think of the rear bumper with carrier.

Actually I guess I should post what I have: 08 JK Unlimited Rubicon, AEV Front Bumper, 9.5TI Warn Winch, IPF Lights, Stock Rocker Guards. I have some great ideas on everything with the exception of what the right thing to do for performance is, so that's really what I'm stumped on. Appreciate the input though!

CAI makes a difference, though not a whole lot. max energy makes your power band smoother, and it pulls better off the line, but max power is improved more with the intake. Exhaust doesnt do much of anything as far as performance, but it sounds way better. i dont have any experience with headers, might try that soon.... the 3.8 sucks both my nuts......

Sliders would be good, especially if you have the long wheelbase Unlimited. Gears would be good too, depending on what gears you have stock. If you got stuck w/ the 3.21's like I did, it's definately time to upgrade.
