I call that a rock grabber. Simply because one knows where the wheels and pumpkins are and navigates rocky terrain by placing the rocks under the highest clearance IE the axle shafts. To each their own though.
My bad: it is in sand country so probably ok to run there in the dunes etc.
Whatever is going on with that truss makes zero sense to me on various levels. IDK what the heck is going on there with the axle shafts either. They've got some sort of generic CV joint there. Maybe those guys in India know something we don't.
My geography in memory tells me Muscat is in Oman not sure their rules for the Dubai plate but the 2 places are close to each other. Also my original comment may apply as it looks quite mountainous around Muscat according to GMaps so there would be a lot of rocky terrain.
Around here it would just be more for the mud to get packed into, one trail to one of my hunting spots the ruts are tire deep and the pumpkins leave their indentions in spots, I could see that working like a plow and building up resistance in front of you
So funny to see this. At my last job back in late 2020 we had a 2018 JLU MOAB addition come in with those from the factory. It totally blew my mind and i sent the picture to many friends in the off-road industry and no one had ever seen it. I just left that part of the industry last month and have not seen another example of this since.
Now the under truss is nothing new. Back in the 70's and 80's we used to do these all the time.
