Default Evo Enforcer 3”, what shocks?

I just ordered the Evo Enforcer 3” Stage 1 lift without shocks. I was under the impression the Fox 2.0 shocks for 1.5”-3.5” lift would pair nicely, but when I went to order the lift, the shock choices to add to the order were fox 2.0 for 4”-6” lift height. Which ones should I order? I’m open to other brand shocks also. I just don’t want to spend a lot and go up to a reservoir shock. Thanks for your input.

Never a simple answer on shocks as every jeep sits differently. I'd only say the 2.0 for 4-6" is a really long body. With only 3" of height that body length might come into play in regard to your uptravel. You're also going to get a lot of downtravel with those so you should strongly consider limiting straps and outboarding the lower shock mounts for additional clearance between the shock body and frame rail. The shock bodies on the FOX resi models of similar travel are more accommodating, but it's a bit step up in price. I don't have strong shock opinions or suggestions for specific builds. I have had those specific shocks though, and i currently have the resi model.

i ended up getting the 1.5”-3.5” length ones which an Evo rep informed me to do. When the shop installs the lift I’ll have them check the shock travel and make sure I picked right. Thanks.

I think most people put on the 4-6, you get more travel but you have to run an extra 2 inches of bump normally

I was contacted by Northridge and Evo and both said use the 1.5-3.5. So I got them, but I believe you’re right and I could’ve gone the 4-6 with more bump. Thank you.

Np, i have metalcloak 2.5 inch 4 door springs, im at about 3.25 in the front and 3.5 in the rear. My jeep is really light weight, savvy frame cut bumper with a winch in the front, plastic fenders, rubicon rock rails, stock rear bumper, no spare tire or muffler. Generally you net a little more than the lift height with a somewhat stock jeep(from your prof pic, yours looks very stockish, like mine). You'll get a lot of up travel with those shocks but if you go to 35s, your fenders will have to be cut or replaced. You will limit down travel with those shocks, which will at least keep your driveshaft off the exhaust cross over. I broke my front driveshaft boot and damaged it, even replaced with a skinny one, i can still contact the cross over if both my tires are completely drooped. You can always add exhaust spacers, i just cried when i looked at my minnesota exhaust bolts, decided on a new front driveshaft instead of messing with the rusted bolts. I dont know if you're doing it yourself in a garage, or if a shop is doing it. If a shop is, just make sure they know JKs!

my profile pic was from when I bought it new in 2015. I haven’t been on the forums in a while. It’s stock except for 295/70/17 Patagonia MT’s. So this 3” lift is going to be a new world for me. And yes I got the exhaust spacer. It’s all being installed by a local jeep shop. Pretty excited to see how it looks. I’m sure I’ll be getting 35s sooner than later.

Sounds awesome! That evo kit looks pretty nice, i had broke my driveshaft before i even got my lift, so thats why i didnt bother with the spacer. Im sure the shop will have fun with those exhaust bolts ahah. Ive read some tips, still seems like a beotch and a half! My rear boot is ripped too, somehow that driveshaft still has survived 4 minnesota winters and mud!

yea all the bolts have been there since it was built so the shop will probably run across a couple that are seized. That’s why I’m not tackling this myself.
