Default Underbelly skid plates

I want to add full under belly skids and was looking at this:
https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadrate...-jeep-wrangler

Thoughts please.
I'm into overlanding now and offroad in mud and rocks but not extreme anymore..
My Rubicon JK has a 2.5" lift. and is my daily.

Gosh, that seems like complete overkill to spend $2k, add 171 lbs to the jeep when likely not really necessary for overlanding purposes. I get the idea of going aluminum vs. steel for the weight savings, but I'd just get a oil/tranny skid and call it a day. the factory TC skid is fine for that use, and the gas skid.....unless you are just sliding or pivoting on large boulders regularly, the factory is fine. Muffler skid....never seen it necessary. I'd rather just get a nice heavy duty cross member and a tranny skid, and relocate the evap rather than cover it with a skid. Just my opinion.

I agree with Resharp's suggestions. The 2.5" lift just about takes care of all overlanding clearance issues. I have the same lift and do some serious wheeling with no skid plates other than factory and not an issue. HD x-member is a good idea as that is what catches lumps/bumps before anything else (other than bottom of diff pumpkins which is rare).
