Default Armrest

Does anyone have this armrest from Quadratec? I'm about to buy it but I stopped when I thought that this may be strange because it raises the height where your arm would rest. Any reviews on this?

By the way, yes I know this is a dumb question for a cheap mod

Not a dumb question...do a search on armrest...some here have bought them and liked them...I'm waiting for someone else to come out with a similar one without the Quadratec logo.

For me, raising the height is the main reason I would buy one. I can't imagine why Jeep made it so low - it's really not an "arm rest" but a console. I need about 3 more inches in order to support my arm.

With my first generation Trooper, I made a whole new console with enough height to support my arm/shoulder. It made a HUGE difference in comfort on long trips, and when bouncing around off road.

Thanks for the info everyone. I also agree on the logo, rather not have it there but I would love to have a pad to rest my arm on so I guess I will deal with it.

To the people that bought it, which one did you get? Anyone get that pleather looking one? Is it soft?

Im all for these things, I hate that the arm rest is so low, but 50 bucks is a bit much. So Im gonna make my own, some foam and fabric and mounting brackets are cheap and have to be easy to do. I cant sew, but we all have mothers or mother in laws and what not who can..right

I think I like the Rugged Ridge better (no logo). The Misch doesn't look like much padding.

If you stop and thing about it, 50 bucks ain't bad for something that you will use EVERY single day, and that will make you more comfortable.
