Default Wheel spacer / adapter?

I have been doing some shopping for tires and wheels because I'm about to put on my lift this weekend. My local tire guy tells me I have to use wheel adapters because the wheel manufacturers don't make wheels to fit the JK lug pattern. Is this true? I'd like to hear what all you guys with aftermarket wheels are doing. Did you have to use Spider Trax or Teraflex? If not what wheels did you get that fit the stock JK pattern? On top of that, if you use wheel spacers what backspace do you need?

I'm installing the RE 4.5" long arm kit and plan on running 37x13.50 on 18's.

Any info you guys could pass along would be much appreciated.

He's wrong. There are plenty of wheels available. Adapters are an option though.

Default Hellooo out there

Come on guys. I know some of you out there in JK land have aftermarket wheels without using adapters/spacers. What wheels fit the JK bolt pattern? I need some help on this to find out what's out there for the JK.

I would be leary of your local tire guy, he is at the least "misinformed" (the term "retarded" came to mind, but i didnt want to offend anyone so i didnt say that)

anything in 5x5 is the right pattern, i believe around 5 inches of back spacing is basically the standard...

As far as manufacturers? uhh... Just about all of them?

Cragar
AEV
Mickey Thompson
ProComp
Jeep of course, the Commander wheels apparently fit also
Centerline
American Racing
Eagle
Weld

etc. etc. etc.... the list goes on for a long long time... you would have to check the respective websites, but 5x5 is a very common size, backspacing & width might be your only hangups.

Default misinformed

My "tire guy" must be very misinformed. I picked these up today at 4Wheel Parts in Phoenix.

They had many to chose from. Hopefully will have lift and these on this weekend.
