Default skid plate questions and more...

i have a 07 2 door rubicon and it's time to replace the skids. has anyone used treks products? gotreks.com/page.asp?pageid=88 they look good, maybe some lost clearance, but i could be wrong. i also like treks rear bumper.

i drive my jeep to work everyday and go wheeling almost every weekend. so, i need a good balanced (on road/off road) lift. i have a set of used 35's and when they wear out, i'm going to buy some 37's. on paper, i like the bds 4" or 5.5" lift. i don't know anyone in the las vegas area that has a bds lift on a jk. so, i need some input on bds lifts or others that will do good on the rocks and the road.

also how are shrockworks' sliders?

thanks, doug

hey lvdoug, welcome to JK-Forum! regarding your questions, i have seen the treks skids and they are very nice - you won't be disappointed with them. likewise, the shrockworks sliders are extremely tough and look great on a 2-door. as far as lifts go, is there any specific reason why you want to go with BDS? i have run a full traction 3" ultimate and a teraflex 4" flexarm kit and can tell you based on experience that both are outstanding kits and ones that i would highly recommend.

the treks stuff looks nice, but it looks like they only make it to fit the unlimited.

treks started making the skids for the 2 door, they have not updated there web site. they look a little like "mad max", just worried about any loss clearance. i like bds the company, i just don't know about there jk lifts. i'm open for any company, i just want a good on/off road lift for 37's. i'll check out tf. i'm also going to sema and the pomona off road expo. i'll get everyones input and make the jump! thanks for your help.
