Default Canted Control Arm

I emailed Currie last monday about this and haven't received an answer yet, so I'll ask you all. I have all 8 Currie adj. control arms. After doing some flexing, the Johnny Joints get canted in the mounts. They were centered on installation. The bolts torqued to 125 ft. lbs. Also the big lock nut was tightened. I have had to loosen everything, recenter them and retighten everything several times. Question is....are they supposed to do this? Do I need to make them parallel with the mounts everytime this happens? Or are they ok to leave this way?
Thanks

the joint will still work fine like that but it is better to have them straightend out as it will allow the joint to fully rotate. the only reason why this would occur is if somehow the jam nuts weren't tightend enough as it would allow the gold adjustable end to rotate a bit at a full flex.

Disagree WOL as the jam nut is super tight. I have repeated this procedure several times and believe me, I have tightened the @%%@ out of the jam nut. As a matter of fact, the last time I tightened everything, I used blue locktite, since I noticed it was used from the factory.

you can disagree with me but how else would your control arm get the way that it gets? i mean, you yourself have said that to fix it, you have to "loosen everything, recenter them and retighten everythin". while i'm sure you are tightening the jam nuts the best you can, it doesn't change the fact that the johnny joint is still moving. would you agree to that? likewise, lock tite would make no difference in this situation as the torque being applied is probably great enough to break it free. just to be clear, none of this has anything to do with the mounting bolts - the ones you tightend to 125 ft. lbs. of torque, just the large jam nuts that hold the gold johnny joint in place. are we on the same page on that?

aside from that, i honestly don't know what else to tell you other than the fact that you might just be flexing the hell out of your jeep and if that's the case, things can shift and move. in the case of other manufacturers arms, they would end up blowing out their bushings.

The currie arms have the Johnny Joint at both ends, so it may be that the entire arm is just rotated a bit. If this is the case it is no problem at all, just an aesthetic issue. Can you rotate the arm back into position without actually making any adjustments?

I have the Currie arms as well on mine. When I set them up I made sure both ends of each arm were centered then I tightened the jam nut. In the picture you posted above, what does the other end look like? If it is rotated the same way/amount then you have nothing to be concerned about.

BTW, I did not have to tighten the jam nuts very much to keep the arms in adjustment and ends from rotating independently from each other end to end on each arm.

LOL. Great point!!! Bull!!!
I think they should remain parallel. Not trashing Currie. I love the flex. I think these are great arms. I'm glad I spent the $$$$ on them. Just wondering why they cant while everything is TIGHT. That's right. TIGHT.
