Default Dealers adjusting TPMS

Can someone help me out with the verbage to explain to the dealer how to reprogram the TPMS pressure down to 28 psi.

Each dealer I have talked to just looks confused and says "I am not sure how to do that"

Surely it just involves plugging up the starscan and setting the new psi, am I missing something?

How about we all donate a dollar to WOL and have him purchase our on star scan tool

I had the same reply from my dealer, no idea what I was talking about. I later read somewhere that the dealers who were making these adjustments were using a VT55 TPMS tool, not a starscan. My dealer said "We already spend too much an specialty tools, it wouldn't pay for itself."

I am not sure if this tool does something to the sensor to re-set the pressure alert signal, or if it is something flashed in the jeep computer.

It would be nice to air down to at least 25-28 on the street without that stinking light coming on! On the other hand, the light is not THAT annoying to me.

Maybe call around to some tire shops to see if they can make the adjustment.

You need to find a dealer that has one of these.

I had mine set to 28psi, that was as low as they could set the stock ones. You can get aftermarket ones that will go lower.
