Tuning Fox SS
Hey!
Before any one asks...no I'm not going to mask any problems I may have right now
I just want to experiment for my self how my steering feels after replacing my stock SS. I won't be installing any SS until I get rid of my left side drifting(that is another story
)
I'm looking at the Fox SS. I would also be interested in the OME SS, but it is not available as a stand alone.
The Fox SS is tunable from what I have read. I would like to know if anyone here in the forum is using this SS with a set up similar to mines. 3" lift with full set of adj control arms, 35" tires(Cooper STT) with procomp alloy wheel. If so, did you have to discharge it some? If so, how much?
Suggestions are always welcome

I am running a Fox SS too. I did have to adjust mine as it came pressurized from the factory and when used as a SS that is a no no. My Jeep pushed so hard to the left that it would have worn out my front tires very quickly. I release all of the nitrogen (air) and now it works GREAT! Now, with that being said, my buddy has the same Jeep, same lift and similar tires and he just put on the dual Rough Country SS setup and he saids that it works like a DREAM! He says that it really drives a lot different and VERY solid. If I had to do it all again I would probably go the Rough Country dual SS route.

Sooooo, I'm looking to sell the RC and I'm waiting for my Fox to arrive.
Also, what is the point of the Fox SS if you empty it?
You could have bleed it some, but not all
And again, I hear the Rough Country is much better and yes it too is overkill...

The shock was pressurized from the factory like a nitro shock and it took me taking all of the nitrogen out to make it not push on the steering. It still works great it's just not pressurized to extend out and push on the steering.
Correct me if I'm wrong, your tires are smaller than 35" and so weigh less and less surface contact then mine which would explain how the Fox SS was pushing you around. The first person to answer this thread uses a 35" tire and was able to keep stock settings of the Fox SS. No bleeding necessary. Which for me I hope is the case since I too use 35" tires.

Thanks
