Default rugged ridge rock sliders

I just installed RRC rock sliders on my Unlimited and was unsure on which way to mount them. By that I mean shold the widest point from the body be in the front or the rear? By pure looks I mounted them so that the widest part is in the rear. But looking at them from a protective point, I was wondering if the widest point should be the leading edge/front of the jeep?????

I just could not get a clear idea from pictures or from the directions.

Thanks for any input.

It looks as if they taper with the fender flares.

Oops, wrong pic....

^^ I believe those are rampage, not RRC.

Are you referring to the RRC nerf bars? With those, they only install one way, if you put them on opposite sides they will not line up.

Exactly right, I installed mine about two or three weeks ago and quickly discovered they only go on one way. Here's the only good picture I have of them right now.

Me too!
But now I have to remove my Rubicon rock guard because my RRC is banging up against it. Drives me crazy
