Default new top getting installed

I have a new 09 Sahara and upon prurchasing I noticed that the factory had screwed the hard top down to hard with one of screws and made a crack under it so they ordered a new top.

My question is how did they get a new top in in 7 days and will it come packaged from chrysler so that it will damage and scratch free?

if they did in fact get it from the factory and not just get it from stock at another dealer or something of that sort... it will be sent in a big freight box... it will be fine

In 2007 when I purchased my first JK I had a hard top installed by the dealer. This was when the JK was in demand and hard top orders were on hold at the factory. Mine also came in about 7 days. Good luck with yours.

I wasn't going to say anything but since you asked. No the install did not go well. They scratched my hood, scratched the windshield fame, and my drivers door panel. The wiring harness that was installed is only made one length so it had about 2 feet of extra in the back that looked crappy. The wiring harness kit did not come with the tethered stopper and they claimed no jks have it. The top constantly leaked. The front panels were replaced twice. The top is wrapped during shipping with a blue tape that permanently bonded to the top and had to be sanded and repainted. It was not a pleasant experience. I will never allow the dealer to do anything like that again. A dual top vehicle could not be located is why it happened. In the future, if it is not installed at the factory it won't be done by the dealer for me.
