Default Spend $5k on Jeep

Here is the deal. I am ready to take my Jeep to stage 2. I only have $5k to spend on it and have a few guidelines of what I want but nothing set in stone. The tire place will give me a $500 credit on these tires. Some stuff I would like to have is better suspension, mud terrains, rear bumpers, etc. The budget won't cover much, but it will get stage 2 started I think. I would like to hear some opinions of what I should do. As much as I would like to get someone like SLC or COP4x4 or some of the other awesome companies on this site to Hemi my Jeep and long arm it with Dana 60s and custom everything, that is no where near my budget. I have to build in stages. Stock and stage 1 are over, it is time to step up to stage 2. Let's hear some ideas.

Oh... the chrome wheels have to stay as much as I would like to get rid of them. My girl loves them and she is so supportive of all this I told her I would keep them until they were too scratched up.

Here it is right now: (minus the blue stars on the glass)

Current specs are: 2007 Wrangler X, auto, 18x9 Goliath Wheels, 325x65R18 Nitto TerraGrapplers, 2" superlift BB with shocks, 4.10s, front Aussie locker, Mygig, custom audio, CB.

Good luck and have fun! 5k seems like a good start. I wish my wife would agree to that.

I'd start w/ the right gearing for your future tires and quality skids underneath.
Then start giong UP!

No, gearing can wait, unless you've got money left over. By the way, with careful shopping, I did long arm and 35's for the neighborhood of $5k. And I had to buy wheels and some other goodies

Couldn't have said it better, But tires, Lift, Drive lines, Skids is cutting it real close depending on the Lift you get. Terra Flex makes excelent lifts if you are wanting to go in stages. Get a good start with there kit and add some Adj. control arms and you will have more for pumpers. figure 1.5K on Lift 6-700 on tires, 1k on skids, depending on bumpers thats unlimitless anywhere from a few hundred to 2k. I would say anot 700 on the drive lines maybe more. well anyways You have fun on deciding with what YOU want being you will be the one driving it and not us. Good Luck and Post Pics when you get it going.

You could prob get a little more for your tires if you tried on here or locally(in the paper). I think I remember you trying before, and I know you dont want to hear-this but if you lived here, I know guys who would prob jump all over it. Just a thought that might get you a couple hundred more.

If they are giving you 500, they will prob sell them for 650-700.

I would start with a rear bumper tire carrier......the day will come that you need that spare.

Bumpers can wait, other than a rear tire carrier. Who really cares.

Throw a long arm and some 37's and replace your drivelines. I bet you would be really close to $5,000.

After the lift kit, the rest is cheap
