Default 15 inch wheels will or will not fit?

i talked to a guy at quadratec and he said that since my jeep camewith 16inch wheels that a 15 inch wheel will not fit. but ive seen people on here who run 15s? whats the truth? and if you use a spacer it wouldnt matter at all would it?

some wont fit others will. I have uniques and they fit just fine.

Some will also fit with some minor brake caliper modding. There are a number of threads on this which will give you a good idea of which ones do and don't work.

through out all my searching ....when i was looking for the very same answer most recomended a wheel with 3.75" backspacing. that is what i have and it fits fine.

I have 15" wheels i forgot the back spacing i got the from 4 wheel drive hardwear in early 07 they work great

I have 15's with 3.75 BS and they fit just fine as well.

to my knowledge it is partly a fitment issue due to backspacing, and the caliper hitting the bead ridge on the inside of the rim. No 2 Mfg's seem to make them the same...

I thought there was a thread around here somewhere that listed the Mfg's wheels that seemed to be ok & the ones people where having intermittant problems fitting?

apparently I am search stupid today because i cant find it.

This is my setup 15x10's with 4.6 BS on 35' Claws..I like the wider stance.

Mine too. Same back spacing as above, 3.75 on 15x8. Mine worked fine. I ordered Pacer Street Locks first and they wouldn't clear the breaks. I called Sam's Off Road in Tulsa and they recommended a wheel that worked out great. They are American Eagle 15x8's. Not sure what the series number is. See pic.
