Default 2.5 lift kit

after looking at pic of 2.5" lift with 33" tires, i think this is the way i wanted to go. From my research, i've narrowed the option to Teraflex 2.5 kit w/ shocks or Skyjacker 2.5" with coil and shocks (i will not use the relocation bracket)

Is there any advantage to go to a full coil / shocks system instead of just a spacer? Which one do you expert guys recommend

thanks

A coil suspension lift with new shocks will give you more articulation on the trail and depending on what kit you get, it will change your ride quality on road for the better or worse.

As far as which budget boost to go with is concerned, I would definitely go with the TeraFlex kit. It's one of the most complete BB's out there and comes with rear brakeline relocation brackets unlike the other kit. I ran this kit for a few months on the 32's that doojer is running now and can tell you that it performs awesome on the trail as well. Here's a shot of me with this setup in Death Valley...

SKYJACKER Look prettier.. Red springs and all.. Seriously.. You will have to add shocks.. most people go with hydro.. and a steering stabilizer etc. They are selling on ebay for $299.00 but then you have to add the shocks, and stabilizer etc. Brings the cost up around $500.00.. THEN you have to put it on..!!

(Yet to do mod for me)

All I can say is the Tera 2.5" rides really, really nice on road. Can't wait to get it out on the trail-- but, like WOL said, when we were in Death Valley it was pretty nice to see what the Teraflex 2.5 and 32's can do.

Actually, Skyjacker will not be selling their kits in red anymore. As far as shocks go, you can get the TeraFlex 2.5" BB with shock extensions which work surprisingly well (speaking from experience here). Also, IMHO, hydro-shocks absolutely suck by comparison to a good monotube nitro-shock and a steering stabilizer is completely unnecessary.

Nope, you just need to install a drop bracket on each side of your Jeep.

Shucks.. I stand corrected.. Speaking from NON-EXPERANCE on this particular mod.. I got all my info from this forum and speaking to the Dealers, and aftermarket people.. OHH well.. I understand Nitro shock ride harder on the road etc. is that true? i will be doing a lot more research on this BEFORE I buy a set..

Guess I had better do more reading than posting...
