Deciding Between Budget Boosts
I'm trying to decide between budget boosts for my JKU. I've looked at products from Teraflex, Rough Country, RockCrawler, Rough Country, Zone Off-Road, basically all the companies that offer 2.5" budget boosts and 3" coil lifts.
My question is this: why do all these companies that claim to have the best product not offer the same kit contents? Why? Why do some offer track bar brackets, adjustable track bars, links, etc?
-TeraFlex offers BB's with spacers, bumpstops, swaybar links and TeraFlex shock absorbers.
-Full Traction's 2" Econo-Lift offers front and rear spacers, a front track bar bracket, shock absorbers, and bump stop spacers.
-SkyJacker offers a 2" BB with front and rear coil spacers, bump stops, and hydro shocks.
-Rubicon Express has a 2" BB with spacers, bump stops, pads, and shocks.
It goes on and on. The coil lifts make my head spin even harder.
You get the point. I know every vendor thinks their kit is the best, but I want to know why it's better than the others.

TeraFlex kits also have rear trackbar bracket and some have shock extentsions. Download the 2009 catalog from my sig line and take a look at how complete TeraFlex kits compared to the other brands.

Just put on my RC 2.5 pr coil lift with shocks, also bought the rear trac bar relocation brackets.. I love it and the ride is nice, smoother than stock in my opinion..
Levels out the front nicely, says 3" in the front 2.5 in the rear.. I ended up at almost 4" in the front.. I am sure they will settle in some but very happy with it so far.. Looks shweet too

I don't want to hi-jack the thread too much but the original post did mention 3" coil lifts.
My concern is with Full Traction and Tera Flex 3" coil kits. Can someone point out the differences? The other thing that keeps bothering me about the TF kit is they use the same coils for 2door and 4door. Does the Full Traction 4door kit get more lift from the 3"springs vs the TF 3" coils?

Depends on marketing,build cost, design etc.. the more complete a kit is, typically the more it costs. TeraFlex likes to put out a more complete kit and give customers options with kits that have no arms/4 arms/8 arms. The best thing for you to do is a side by side comparison of JK lift manufactors kits. Educate yourself on the benefits of certain kits over others. Look at each kit and understand what it comes with and why. Cost vs. certain items and what are those items for. Or on the flip side, why it doesn't have certain items. Feel free to call me, no pressure at all from me. TeraFlex customer service/support/product/customer speaks for itself. Is TeraFlex perfect? No, but TeraFlex is doing what it can to make a awesome product with the customer service to stand with you behind your purchase.

I have the 2" FT Budget Boost - works for me right now. Would I buy it again. No. Teraflex 2 1'2" coil lift would be my choice. And the only place to buy it is David from Northridge 4x4. Great prices and Customer Service.
Disclaimer: I don't have a lift installed.
But the research I've done, mainly reading tons of posts here, leads me to believe I wouldn't get anything else but the TeraFlex BB.
(I might get a spring lift when I finally do lift the jeep.)

For what its worth,
I went with the TF 2.5" lift with coils and shocks, and am VERY happy I did. The reason I went with the coils is becasue I am installing a new bumper and winch this weekend (adding an addition 200 lbs or so), and the upgraded coils in the TF kit should limit any sagging or dropping of the front. Otherwise I'd have to add additional spacers on the front.
(at least that is what i'm hoping... to avoid installing spacers)
