Default Bedliner coating for Bumpers

I have read some threads where people have sprayed bumpers and even grills with some kind of truck bedliner product - sounds like a good idea.

Not having any "pick-up" expereince, I have no clue about these products except what a buddy showed me what happened on his truck/

Specifically, where his bedliner was covered (due to a solid cover) from the sunlight/elements all was fine it looked OK after several years, where the bedliner was exposed there was chalky white appearence and dust - he thinks it is UV from the sunlight.

Any expereince here regarding the long term viability of different products - especially as a bumper is fully exposed to the elements.

I'm also considering bedlining my front bumper and my pinch seam with duplicolor bedliner this spring but am kinda hesitant from hearing the same things about fading. Would be great if there was some UV protectant out there that you can just pray on.

I have line-x'd my bumpers, rock rails and the tub. I have had line-x on my previous p/u's. I have also tried some do it yourself products on different things for my landscape business and nothing I mean nothing compaires to the pro products for longevity and durability. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
