Default EVO Rockstars question

Has anyone installed the EVO Rockstars with the Rubicon Express track bar relocation bracket? I am thinking I will have to cut the RE bracket, install the Rockstar, then weld the track bar bracket to the Rockstar??

I would rather avoid welding if possible.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have a set of the Evo Rockstars with Tera relo bracket. Didn't have to cut the bracket. Could you elaborate regarding your relo bracket? Maybe post some pics?

The RE track bar relocation bracket uses the same two holes that the Rockstar brackets use.. I don't think this is an issue with the Full Traction or Teraflex bracket, but it is with the RE.

You may cut a slot in the RE bracket so it slides over Rock stars and still use both bolt holes, but it would still be a good idea to weld the RE bracket to the Rock star on the out side of the shock mount.

Maybe I should just order up a Teraflex or Full Traction track bar relocation bracket since I have heard they will not interfere?

You could do that, but the TeraFlex and the Rock stars are a very tight fit. It took some tweeking and a longer control arm bolt before I could get it all back together. But it is tight and fits good.

Thought I would update and let everyone know that the Rockstars do fit with the RE track bar relocation bracket. I grinded a bit off of the track bar relocation bracket and it went in no problem.

I still need to see if the stock sway bar links will be ok. They sit at a bit of an angle and look kind of funny.

I still need to cycle the suspension.

Glad this thread came up. In the last 2 weeks I have dented the drivers side shock mount and the passenger mount and shock.

Need to fix this soon.

I have the Rockstars and the Teraflex track bar mount. All I did was cut the Teraflex mount where it went to the lower control arm, shortened it a little and then welded the mount to the rockstar. I talked with Mel and he said this was a good way to make it work.
