Default Looking to put 35's on my Jeep...need some advice

Basically I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of 35's. The question I have deals with my wheels. I currently am running AE Alloys 16x8 with 6mm offsett and 4.625 back spacing. I'm already on a 2" spacer lift. If I go 315/75/16 will I need spacers? If so, which ones? I know I won't have much room for flex off road but 90% of my driving is on-road. I plan on a 4" lift shortly after once funds arrive.

What say you JK-Forum dudes and dudettes?

You should probably be ok with that back spacing. I wouldn't run wheel spacers unless you really just like the "look" of it. or if your back spacing was closer to the 6"s.

If I got wheel spacers, it wouldn't be for the look but rather saving me from damaging parts in the wheel well or the tires themselves.

I don't think you would have any rubbing. unless you have the stock Air Dam on the front, then you will have to trim a few inches off the sides of the Air Dam. other then that you should be fine. Off road under full stuff, you will rub the fenders, but that won't hurt anything.

See that's what I figured. But after talking with a local 4x4 shop, I was told that I HAD to go 3+" or I would rip my fenders off at full flex. Now I do have the JKS disconnects so I might have issue at full flex there.

Yeah you will definitely rub at full stuff. Unless you do the fender chop mod. I ran 35"s with 2.5" spacers and rubbed only slightly at full stuff. but I had rear bump stop extensions. but if you do the fender chop (which I plan on doing this weekend) you should be fine. and the wheel spacers would actually make you rub more at full stuff, since they would make your tires stick out further, and more centered under the outside of the fender which is lower then the center portion.

so, your options for not rubbing are probably going to be bump stop extensions and or the fender chop. look at WOL's write up on the fender chop, looks fairly easy.

Thanks. I'll probably go with the rear bump stop extensions then. I kinda like my fenders the way they are.
