Default Burning smell after mounting 35s

Guys, any clues here ? Maybe this is coincidence but after mounting new 35" Mickey Thompson MTZs (was on stocks) there has twice been a burning smell while driving on the highway. I've immediately pulled over and checked the tires but no rubbing or no sign of excessive heat in the tires. It's hard to pinpoint, but I think the smell is coming from the rear near the exhaust. New tires now have 100 miles on them and its happened twice. Im running 17" rims so its not the 15" rims rubbing on the brake disc problem, and the tires are not rubbing on the fenders despite no fender trim or lift yet.

Its happened twice, so hard to find a common theme, but it could be when I accelerate, say from 30-60ish. No wheelspin of course.

I'm running stock 4.10 gears on an auto trans. Could it be the driveshaft ? thoughts appreciated.

35s no lift, I find it hard to believe you dont rub at all, you sure its not hitting something when you step on the gas? hit a bump? maybe you could put some tape on fenders or suspension that it may rub on to see if it does?

It has to be the 35s with no lift. I would like to see pictures of this......

When I got my lift and tires done there was a 17 inch wheel I wanted that was tooo tight on the caliper. check to see if the wheel is hot. I can't remember the model of wheel now but it just touched the edge of the brake caliper. Good Luck.

Dust your tires and fender wells with baby powder, drive it around, then check to see if and where the power is rubbed off.

I'll bet the auto tranny is running hotter now with the heavier tires.... could just be smelling additional factory burn-off......
