Default Need suggestions on front bumper that wont break the bank

I'm looking for a new bumper and am getting a little bummed out at how expensive they are. My criteria are as follows:

Stubby
Tow hooks/d rings
light ready

I would really prefer to pay less than $500 for a front bumper. Though I am finding it difficult to find too many bumpers for that price. Your suggestions are welcomed and pictures are great too. Thanks!

As an edit, I think the Shrockworks is a great looking stubby bumper. Thats my style.

I think the best bang for your buck bumper is the Rugged Ridge stubby. It might not be the best one out there, but for the price Im not sure it can be beat. But if you wanna spend a little more, The LoD and Shrock bumpers are my first choice.

I purchased the Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper with winch mount, rings, and fog light ready for just under 400.00. I later purchased the bull bar and that was another 60.00.
Love the bumper, fits great, and is sturdy and looks really great on my JK.

Default X2 on Rugged Ridge

I just got off the phone with Quadratec who price matched a competitor for the Rugged Ridge XHD bumper. You can get the center piece (stubby) for $318.00 plus shipping. I purchased the center piece (winch ready), the end pieces and the winch hoop for $532.00 including shipping. A buddy of mine has this setup and it looks great and is very stout. Plus I like the fact that I can have a full bumper around town and on the street and take the end caps off for a stubby when I hit the trails.

Go for the Smittybilt XRC front stubby winch mount bumper. It does everything you're asking for plus more (you can add a winch if you want without having to buy a seperate winch mounting plate. It also has an integrated skid plate.)...

Stubby - YES
Tow Hooks/D-Rings - YES, D-ring mounts
Light ready - YES, holes for 2 lights up to 9" in diameter
Under $500 - YES, got mine for $470 and installed it myself https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/smittybilt-xrc-front-bumper-install-w-hid-lights-78848/

TREKs gets my vote....under $500, d-rings, integrated fog holes, winchready, lightweight, finish to your liking, e-disco skid included, absolutely ZERO mounting issues, mid-width/stubby.
