Default Teraflex - Grease sway bar links?

I finally bought a 2.5" coil lift by Teraflex. I read on here that you need to grease the sway bar links, just curious what this about? Do I need a grease gun for it? and do I need to regrease the rear ones when I put them up front? The idea of greasing something is a little advanced for me. also, I read that I should apply white lithium grease to some components, but have no idea which ones. thanks.

Can I install them first and then drive down there, or does it need to be done first? I don't understand why they don't come greased? or am I missing something?

I think what you may have seen posted is about greasing TF quick disconnects sway bar links. If you have these, they have little Zerk fittings that you need to apply grease to. A lever action grease gun with a flexible hose attachment will do the trick. You can purchase a grease gun and tube of lithium grease at an auto parts store for less than $20. Just follow the directions that come with the gun, it's pretty easy.

Regarding grease, use what is recommended by the manufacturer, (or equivilent as per manufacturers). Generally speaking it is better to underlube than over lube but lube on schedule nonetheless. If you hit water jump up the routine to everytrip. You want to push out the mud and other crap. Lithium based grease is generally good for keeping out water, but typically poor for wheel bearings and the line.

If you want to do it yourself and there are two types of grease then buy a grease gun for each kind (not brand) Pump the grease gun until you see a slight amount of new grease coming out the bushings, (this is not for wheel bearings.)

Its a shame but most of the stock Jeep linkage has no provisions for lubing.

This is just a slight overview, do a search and find out the proper way for each item. It will extend the life of your vehicle considerably.

I have been greasing my Teralflex arms with an electric grease gun, is this too powerful? Also aren't you supposed to grease every 3K?

I also notice when I grease the arms it comes out the zerk base and then it only comes out one side of the bushing on the arms.

If you have new driveshafts you better grease those too.

I bought the small grease gun and a three pack of grease from the parts store. Also had to buy a swivel fitting, and one that is called a needle adapter (not to be confused with a needle ) it has a cone shape on the end for greasing the u-joints. I hit a lot of water and mud..so I grease it up about every six weeks. Including everything that has a zerk fitting on my TF LA kit.

Hellbound... as far as I know...(not much) your zerk fitting might be loose, I don't think it should come out of the base of the zerk... but for coming out one side of the bushing..well thats when I know I got some grease in there and thats when I stop. Your just adding grease for what gets washed out..as I understand it.
