Default A couple things to know before you install your OME LT kit

Installed my lift myself and after the install, my Rubicon still had the factory rake to it by about 1/2" I ordered the Teraflex 1/2" spacers from David @ Northridge and installed them today. Now it sits perfectly level, but the pain in the rear was removing the bump stop extensions that I previously installed so that the spacers could be installed. I've talked to a few people who have installed this setup too and they also have the factory rake. My roommate ordered the same kit and had me install it and his Rubi had it too. Point is, do yourself a favor and just order 1/2" spacers to begin with so you don't have to do it twice. Also, been playing with the caster since the install and I've got it dialed in. I have access to an alignment rack at work so it's pretty easy for me. If you set the upper control arms to 18 1/4" eye to eye, it should put your caster where you need it. Mine is at 5.5 degrees and 5.6 degrees. Hope this helps. Very nice kit David has put together and it rides better than stock!

huh? why are pics needed? it's pretty self explanatory.

i dont think its really necessary for him to take a photo of a coil spacer and measuring tape against a control arm. if you've installed the kit, you're going to know what he's talking about.

Installing a 2" lift all around shouldn't change one end more than the other. If your JK sat lower in the front (not a rake) before it stands to reason that it would after the lift. I'm installing that lift this Thursday. My JK sits about 1" higher in the front than the rear now AND I'm adding a new bumper on the rear (already have the front on) so I anticipate mine sitting about level after the winch install at the same time.

More importantly, what amount of lift did you realize after the 2" suspension install?

How about pics so we can see what it looked like with the rake before the install of the 1/2" spacers and then what it looked like after. That way we can see for ourselves if it is worth it to buy the spacers with the kit. Or maybe just to admire his Jeep after the install of his lift. That is what the forum is for, to share....

I'll have to take some more pics as I didn't take any immediately after installing the spacers. Even though your threat involving your wife sounds pretty cool, here's some pics immediately after installing the lift........
