They are both great kits. The OME kit has numerous spring choices and it ranges from 2.5" to 3.25" of lift

I am in the same position. I want to get the heavy duty OME springs and long travel shocks coupled with teraflex bumpstops and the Teraflex 3 inch + rear trackbar relocator as opposed to the smaller one for the BB kit. The special OME kit by Northridge does not have a provision for ordering the heaviest spring option just 2 or 4 door. I want both JKS trackbars but want the Teraflex relocator since it appears it will hold together as opposed to the stock bracket. I guess I can call dave at Northridge to get a custom deal eh?

I am just wandering if it would be just better $$ spent going with the Teraflex BB kit and upgrade later when the wife (banker) approves the funds.

Yes of course you can!

But really you are better off in my opinion getting the JKS rear trackbar brace for 45.00 and you will never have any issues.

It is really not right to call the OME kit a 2" kit becuase people really need to start telling people what springs they got. I dont know who you are talking about but can promise you they got the HD springs

OME. I got just over 3" lift on my Unlimited X, with HD springs. Much better ride than stock.

I also went with the JKS adj track bar...It will be needed.

Yep, with a warn 9.5 and full rugged ridge xhd bumper, OME HD's gave me 3.25". There have been a few posts of 4" gains on 2-doors with stock bumpers. I wish the ome long travel kit had been available back when I did mine, definitely one to look into.

But spend some time on the phone with Northridge and the Teraflex folks to help you decide. Can't go wrong either way...

i have a two door with a ome 2" lift (shocks and hd springs). never checked the lifted, but just eye balling it, it looks more than two inches! i have 35's and tube fenders too, so it looks like a 4" lift. anyway, i like my set up, but if you are doing it just for "looks", go with the tf 2.5" bb lift with shocks. it's around $500 (less if you go without the shocks), you will get the look you want, the on road ride will be good and you can off road with it too.

just my 2 cents,
doug

I ended up getting the OME with the standard springs... I don't see myself getting tires any larger than 33" (due to 3.21 gearing), so the extra lift wasn't needed.

She drives MUCH better than before. I will say, though, you'll be spending a few hundred more bucks on the OME setup than you would with the TF 2.5" coil kit.

But, I would say if you have the $$, spring for the OME.

Default Great Info...

The OME kit is a little pricey, but from what you guys are saying the ride is great... Now I will have to save a little longer for the OME.

The HD springs aren't a little stiff on the highway?? anyone??

Thanks
