B&M Trans ccoler 70268
OK, getting ready for install and was wondering about the hoses that come with this cooler. I would rather not do hard lines unless someone really sells me on it, so the question is about the hose that comes with this cooler.
Anyone know what the temp ratiing is for the hose that is included?
I have an 08 Rubi Auto, getting ready to install 35"s and have read about the
overheating problems. I want to make sure there are no issues with the hose.
Should I buy a better rated hose?
Thanks

I used the included hoses. No problems (yet) in a little over a year. I have an Aeroforce gauge so I can keep an eye on things. It runs MUCH cooler now. I jacketed the rubber hose with hard plastic electrical loom to make sure nothing rubbed through.
Here's a couple of pics of my install (before I put the loom on):

I used hoses on my Blazer. Made it easier to install, and I had no problems in the years I had it. Plus I think since B&M has been doing this for awhile, they would supply properly rated hose. While your at it install a seperate transmission temp gauge inline after the cooler to keep tabs on things.

Thanks AZJeeper,
I may just go with the included hose and see how it goes.
Thanks for the pics!

lately with products/services I have spent hard earned money on.
Yeah, a gauge would be nice. Maybe later.

Thanks,

That's not to say hose won't work. A lot of people make the mistake of using fuel hose. It's not the same thing and will break down and leak over time. As long as you use whatever hose comes with the kit, I'm sure it'll work fine.
