Okay guys, I apologzie for not posting anything about this trip sooner but as I was checking the weather forcast for the area we are going to be in, I thought I should inform intersted parties that the chances of rain is going to be likely. Also, according to the Ridgecrest area report, there is a Severe Weather Alert that's going to go into effect over the next 5 days. Need I say, conditions might be miserable and cold and I just wanted to verify that you guys would still want to do an over night trip just the same. Or, would you prefer to just do day trip somewhere. Please let me know.

...I been watching the weather forecast for the last couple of days hoping it would change. Pretty much the same forecast anywhere in SoCal...our tent has been treated with that water repellant stuff though and we bought the kids 20 degree bags at BPS the other day....maybe a little misery would be good for the character Seriously though...we're up for anything.

It's a good storm over 4-5 days, the Eastern Sierra's are to get 5-10 feet of snow. . There's avalanche danger with that kind of accumulation and the type of snow it is.

Rain in the desert can be flash floods or washes to deal with too.

This could make it interesting if we go in prepared.
One small detail I still need to get JK back first!

Been hoping that storm was gonna change course at the last minute but it don't look like it. Anything definate or is everyone playing it by ear? Jana and I have 4-days off with all three kids and are itchin to do something. We can do a one day'r on Saturday. We've also kicked around a Vegas run or headin to the cabin in Big Bear and going skiing (Josh and I...Jana, Ally and Timmy get the class on the bunny slopes )

Default Mojave?

Is the Mojave trip still on for January, or are we moving this to February? I would like to go on this trip, and need to schedule the time off. I don't have a preference. I saw a lot of talk earlier about moving this, but no official word that it was being moved.

For those who missed it, we are still going to be doing this trip except it will no longer be a camping trip. Click on the link below for more info:

Sorry but I think we will be rescheduling this trip to Feb in an effort to help make it possible for jkjeep to join us. I hope this won't complicate things too much for you.

No problems at all, just wanted to make sure it was moved before I asked for the time off.

So, will there be another trip taking place in Jan instead of Mojave?
