Cool . . . And we have a winner !

The event at Jack Powell Jeep, in Escondido, was well supported by Forum members. A dozen Jeeps
were parked in front of the dealership for the general public to check out and ask questions. These JKs were also the contestants for a trophy and dinner for two at the Stone Brewery. The categories were
(1) Technical merit, (2) Peoples choice and (3) JKs with yellow seat covers. . . . .And the winner is:
sm_rubi, our own Frank !!! who won all categories. Voters included the general public, the staff of Jack Powell Jeep and our own Forum members.

I would like to give a special thanks to all members who took time out of their schedule to take part in this event. WildandWilling drove in from Big Bear having changed out his steering box twice in 24 hours to do so. 69mach1, wife and friend Bruce, Rocky Road, JZ2DRJK came in from Riverside, Merlin75, 3.6Yeep who just returned from a WestPac deployment was there with his beautiful fiancée, JK Professor and the green monster and sm_rubi. All in all, I counted 18 JKs there with "JK" sticker displayed somewhere on their Jeeps. Several were parked in the back lot with me. If I left someone out, shame on me. Send me a PM and I will add you to the list. At 73, I sometime suffer from CRS syndrome.

Thanks again Fred for putting this together! Really didn't think we'd even get JKThang back together in time for this with all the HS Graduation activities and commitments we had this week for the girls. It was good seeing everyone there even some peeps I haven't seen in quite a while like LiquidHigh (Andy) and Sintaur (John). Thanks again DesertJeep (Bill) for saving me a spot I know that was part of the master plan so there was one less jeep in the contest JK of course but I did love the "okay we have the ladies winner now let's hear who won for the men" comment!

Truly a fun day...girls never even asked if it was time to go home yet! How cool is that! I know Jack Powell isn't on the forum but I still would like to thank them for hosting this event and supplying a nice prize package!
