I like Poison Spyder for tube type flares and JCR Off road for a flatter style. Both of these include some extra brackets to make them stronger and less likely to cause body damage in the event you hit them on an obstacle.

I think the best option is to cut the factory ones.

Hardly any fender is best in my opinion, then again it isn't legal and mud slings everywhere.

Just cut your stock ones. I have Poison Spyder flares and while they look good, they push in the subframe of your jeep if you slam it on a rock or put a lot of weight on them. I learned this the hard way when I flopped my rig. Now there is a nice indent on my rear quarter panels and front fender. Cut is the way to go. Personally I wouldn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on plastic fenders either 👍

This is why I have been hesitant to install Crusher Flates. I cut my stock flares and did the spray on bed liner. They came out pretty good. I pulled a flare off in Calico from a real tight turn, bought some new clips and put it right back on. I would hate to see what kind of damage I would have taken with steel flares.
