Any Wrenches in So Cal?
For the 2007-08 JK, here's a basic one if you don't plan to ever run a standard air gauge or better yet, an aeroforce gauge. Just make sure to add at least the ARB Adapter Harness ($18) or you can make one yourself if you can determine the mating connector and get the correct crimp terminals for that connector housing.
Order from Northridge and get the 10% off.
2007 - 2008 JK 6 Switch sPOD & Source System
Keeps everything nice & neat under the hood & into the cabin. By having it already installed, should you decide in the future to add 1 more aux to your setup whatever it might be, trust me you'll be saving yourself a lot of future headaches & possible brain aneurisms.

Absolutely! I'm sure we could always use another hand. You're more than welcome to come on over, lend a hand, and have a few beers. I might order me a set of rear lights to install myself. Been wanting to order them for a while. Not sure of a mounting solution just yet though.
Wow, this always happens when I make JK upgrades. Im in way over my head. The Spod seems like the best option for sure but Im just not sure its worth the $500 for me. I really can only think of rear lights, front lights and compressor that would be on my list. I only really drive on the beach and glorified fire roads. I would rather invest the $500 into a good alarm system since my JK lives alot of its life south of the border.
Let me spend some time looking at this. Money isnt really an issue but I just see value in the alarm system and a hood lock and other security items first before I would spend it on the Spod. However, I do like to live by the motto - Do the job once and do it right.
Give me a few hours. In the mean time, thanks for the comments and keep them coming. I really do appreciate all of the help this forum provides.

In my case I had Rigid D2s with amber covers pointing at 45 degrees for the pillar lights, a small Rigid 10" bar with an amber color on my front bumper to help with the fog, and Rigid D2s also on the front bumper to really light things up without having to get too crazy with a 50" light bar or similar. That left me with 3 aux switches on the SPOD.
I got the ARB kit so that took the 4th switch. I just installed a compact air horn which took the 5th switch but I may put in a small air tank that feeds off the ARB OBA so I can use that to run the air horn instead thus freeing up a switch. The 6th switch I've left open just in case I ever decide to run a selectable locker on the front axle.
So you can see it doesn't take much to fill up the switches but at least you've got options if you decide to expand down the road.
Hood lock I definitely agree with you there also. I'm using the MOPAR hood lock which of course is the higher priced one
but at least it's keyed to the ignition key. I hate carrying a bunch of other keys if I don't have to. Good luck!
I definitely hear you and agree with you both. The SPOD, if you're just looking at the price, is expensive kit. With the forum discount you'd be looking at $400. I do believe in doing the job once and thus the motto "Buy once, cry once" is right up there.

Yea it would appear that I would only be using 3 of the 6 switches. Im also more concerned about mechanical issues too. What if I spend this money on electronics and then we go to install it and find out there are a bunch of parts that need replacement. I am about to hit 75k. I did the ball joints already but I have a feeling there could be some more surprises waiting around the corner for me.
- A-pillar lights
- Fog lights on bumper
- Rock lights
- Compressor
Those 4 accessories are currently filling up my switch pod. Future additions that I know of include...
- Rear lights
- Front locker
- Rear locker
- other future accessories TBD?
I've already filled up my SPOD by this point, so I'm going to be using both an SPOD and the A-pillar switch pod eventually.
Point is the switches fill up quick! I could combine some things, like maybe my rock lights come on along with my fog lights, but I'd rather not do that. The SPOD isn't totally necessary, but you're definitely going to need to figure out how you want all these switches mounted before Sunday. You said your lights are already installed. Are the switches already ran as well? I guess I've been assuming up to this point that you don't already have your switches ran into your dash or some other location.
Ok so just got off the phone with Northridge. Always a pleasure talking with them. I've ordered almost every part on my JK and never had had any issues. They may be able to get the stuff here by friday but it would really be pushing it.
Maybe I can meet up with you guys smittycm and Buckshot207. We can work on the rattles, check it out mechanically, discuss a game plan for the other mods and then do the install in march when Smittycm gets back. I think this would be the best option. I can also see if any of the items I want will go on sale for Presidents Day Weekend.
On a side note, it may be time for brakes and rotors for me soon, especially before I make my big trip either spring break or this summer. I got the gold standard brake pads at AutoZone last time. They are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. How does this work again? Do I just show them the receipt and they give me new pads or do I have to bring in the old ones with a receipt and then they give me the new pads. It seems like it would have to be the second option which then I would have to have someone drive me to autozone since my vehicle would be in pieces with no brakes. Hopefully someone has done this before or hopefully someone will tell me that I wasted my money and I won't make the mistake again. lol
