Anyone here in riverside?
Hey guys my buddy just got a jeep and keeps asking me to hit the trails with him in big bear. I'm no jeeping prodigy but I do ok and I want to see where he is at as far as skill someplace fairly local before driving to bear and wasting our time and possibly his rig. Anyone know of a little spot with some decent obstacles around riverside or Moreno valley where I can test out his abilities?
P.S. has anyone figured out a way to get down into the Santa Ana river bed? That looks like a fun place to run around.
Thanks guys!

What ever you do do not go into the Santa Anna river. A friend of mine took me there. We had a lot of cops looking for us on off road vehicles. They were going to impound the Jeeps but my friend convinced them not to.
Lytle Creek at the 15 and Sierra has some trails. Nothing hard at all. But something to take your friend that has not been out. Just head north till the paved road ends.

River bottom off main st used to be a happening place.. Since I was 8 we used to ride atc's and quads then when I hit twenties and got jeeps , we used to wheel down there too.. But about 3 yrs ago some guy got killed down there and cops have cracked down on it since. A decent place to test articulation is off box springs (central) , 215 freeway. I've only played around there a few times but never seen any law or any "no trespassing signs". Other than that... A good local (40min drive) place to wheel legit is cleghorn road off the 215/15 near lake silverwood. If u go, I'd go with u.. I live in riverside as well
