Default Arrived Home Safe

After 2400 miles, four States, and about 200 counties, we got home early yesterday afternoon.
Pulled the MH and Jeep in front of the house and deceided to do the cleanup, mud and crap on the Jeep and restock MH, later.
When we got home, we were greeted to a limb from our neighbors tree that had fallen onto our power line.
I guess the winds that happened while we were gone caused the limb to break.
Other than bending the weatherhead on our line a little, there wasnt too much damage done.
Edison was out today and reran our line but told the neighbor, they would be without power until the tree was trimmed away from the lines.
Neighbor has been "saying" they would take are of the tree for two years.

Nothing like an Incentive Program courtesy of the local utility.

Welcome Home.

Just as a heads up, when the neighbor is ready to do the trim, give Edison a 24 hour notice. They will drop your service line so your neighbor can trim the tree. Thus avoiding any further damage to your weatherhead. Once he is done, call Edison back and they will reconnect it for you. Since you have the MH, I would move the the delicate frig items to the MH's frig until the power is reconnected. Just leave the freezer shut for the duration. Unless of course your neighbor is nice enough to lend you a 100 ft power cord to plug into.

Edison moved my service to the other pole on my property Saturday.
The neighbor"magically" had a tree trimmer out the same day and trimmed the tree to Edison s satisfaction.
THe way it was trimmed, now has a top knot on it and looks to me like its going to be top heavy in a heavy wind.
We ll see what happens.
